Heavy Road Transport Mechanics

We are seeking experienced Road Transport Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to join a growing heavy transport operation in Western Australia. This is a permanent opportunity for qualified mechanics with strong experience maintaining and repairing heavy multi-combination road transport equipment.

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy road transport vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and driveline faults
• Maintain and repair Volvo and Mack heavy-duty prime movers
• Carry out inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting on heavy multi-combination vehicles
• Perform major component repairs and rebuilds as required
• Complete engine, transmission, differential and other major mechanical repairs
• Identify mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
• Conduct routine safety and operational inspections
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and to required standards
• Work collaboratively with workshop and operational teams
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
• Follow company safety procedures, policies and maintenance requirements
• Support reliable fleet availability through proactive maintenance and timely repairs

• Recognised Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic trade qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic in a road transport environment
• Demonstrated experience working on heavy multi-combination trucks
• Hands-on experience with Volvo and/or Mack Titan prime movers highly regarded
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
• Experience with preventative maintenance and major component rebuilds
• Current C Class Australian driver's licence essential
• HR driver's licence highly regarded
• Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one before commencement
• Ability to work flexible local roster arrangements
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to relocate to Western Australia
