Human Resources Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to provide trusted people leadership within an established operational organisation in Queensland. This part-time opportunity is suited to an HR professional whose experience, qualifications and leadership capability can be clearly demonstrated and verified.

Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will help shape workforce strategy, strengthen employee engagement and ensure effective HR practices across a workforce of more than 160 employees.

• Provide strategic HR advice to senior leadership
• Lead recruitment and talent acquisition activities
• Develop workforce planning and succession strategies
• Drive employee engagement, development and retention initiatives
• Manage employee relations, performance matters and workplace investigations
• Support grievance and disciplinary processes
• Maintain HR policies and employment documentation
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and modern awards
• Support remuneration reviews and workforce reporting
• Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes
• Build strong relationships across operational and office-based teams

• Demonstrated experience in HR Management or senior HR leadership
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related field preferred
• Experience in construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or another operational environment
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace relations
• Proven employee relations and performance management experience
• Strong recruitment and workforce planning capability
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently across different teams and work environments
• Experience using HR information systems and payroll platforms
• Visa sponsorship, migration or labour agreement experience highly regarded
