Junior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated Accountant / Bookkeeper to join a well-established agribusiness in Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional or a junior accountant looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and growing business.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations across multiple business entities.

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment allocation and debtor management
• Process credits, rebates and customer claims
• Reconcile customer accounts and intercompany transactions
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments
• Prepare aged receivables reports and collection forecasts
• Assist with customer account verification and compliance requirements
• Process payroll journals and maintain payroll records
• Prepare and assist with BAS, IAS and PAYG reporting
• Maintain general ledger entries, journals and fixed asset records
• Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations
• Assist in preparing financial reports and management reports
• Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple business entities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Collaborate with senior finance staff on reporting and financial analysis
• Use accounting software to maintain accurate financial data
• Participate in finance meetings and provide ad hoc reporting

• Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts or accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
• Experience with payroll processing and Australian tax compliance
• Understanding of IFRS and/or Australian Accounting Standards
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience using accounting software such as NetSuite or Reckon is advantageous
• Experience working in a multi-entity business environment is desirable
• CPA or CA studies will be highly regarded
