Machinist

A well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Western Australia is seeking experienced First Class Machinists to join its skilled production team. The role involves CNC machining, manual machining, technical drawing interpretation, and precision component manufacturing across industries including mining, energy, marine, and defence.

• Program, set up and operate CNC machining centres and CNC lathes
• Operate Okuma or equivalent CNC machinery
• Use One-Touch programming where required
• Interpret technical drawings and machining specifications
• Select suitable materials, tooling and machining methods
• Operate and maintain manual lathes and other machining equipment
• Assemble precision metal components
• Identify and troubleshoot machining and equipment issues
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and workmanship
• Follow workplace safety, quality and production procedures
• Support efficient production across multiple projects

• Trade qualification in Metal Machining or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of post-trade machining experience
• Hands-on experience with CNC lathes and machining centres
• Experience with Okuma machinery is highly desirable
• Experience with One-Touch programming preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Forklift (LF Class) licence preferred
• Australian Driver’s Licence preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical screening
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
• Availability for full-time, part-time or casual work
