The opportunity
Here is what this Hamilton employer is looking for. An established transport company wants a permanent, full-time Mechanic for its onsite workshop, where a hands-on team keeps a fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment road-ready, reliable and safe.
Reading the duties, the hiring team values all-round workshop ability: scheduled servicing and repairs, sound diagnosis of mechanical faults, inspections that pick up maintenance needs early, and basic auto-electrical fault-finding. They also want a mechanic who works safely, keeps quality high and leaves the workshop organised.
The business is an approved accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand, which allows it to sponsor workers on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
To stand out, tailor your English CV to those duties. Lead with your qualification or mechanical background, then give examples of heavy vehicle repairs and electrical diagnosis. You can tailor your fleet mechanic CV in Build AI CV before you apply.
