Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a specialised maintenance team in Western Australia. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work with fleet vehicles, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and specialised aviation-related equipment in a safety-focused environment.

The position is suited to a qualified Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic who enjoys variety, practical problem-solving and working as part of a close-knit team. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

• Repair, service and maintain fleet vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently
• Work with diesel engines, hydraulics and specialised equipment
• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with safety and operational requirements
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure repairs are completed correctly
• Complete daily job records and maintenance documentation
• Identify potential mechanical issues and recommend appropriate corrective action
• Work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members
• Follow all workplace, equipment and airside safety procedures
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and organised condition

• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical experience preferred
• Experience working with light vehicles, heavy vehicles or heavy equipment
• Current HR Driver’s Licence
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to obtain a Police Clearance
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Ability to successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening
• Welding experience is advantageous
• Experience with Ground Support Equipment or aviation-related equipment is advantageous
• Experience with diesel systems, hydraulics or breakdown maintenance is advantageous
• Willingness to work in a specialised and safety-critical environment
