Motor Mechanic

An established and reputable automotive service business in New South Wales is seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified automotive professional looking to build a long-term career with an established Australian business. The role involves vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance across a range of vehicles.

• Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines, mechanical systems and vehicle components
• Dismantling and removing engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical components for inspection and repair
• Inspecting vehicle parts to identify wear, damage and mechanical faults
• Repairing and replacing worn or defective mechanical components
• Reassembling engines and mechanical components following repairs
• Performing scheduled vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance
• Carrying out oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups and other routine maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical issues using computerised diagnostic equipment
• Testing and adjusting repaired components to ensure correct performance and reliability
• Following manufacturer service manuals, technical specifications and repair procedures
• Inspecting vehicles and identifying repairs required to meet roadworthiness standards
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
• Providing professional and reliable mechanical service to customers

• Certificate III or higher qualification in Automotive Technology, Motor Mechanics or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with vehicle servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Ability to use computerised diagnostic equipment
• Good understanding of automotive mechanical systems and components
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional workshop team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to relocate to New South Wales if applying from overseas
