An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join a professional automotive workshop in Victoria, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality smash repairs and vehicle bodywork across a range of makes and models. You will join a supportive workplace where quality workmanship, safety and professional development are valued.

• Check received parts to ensure they are correct and free from defects
• Inspect vehicles and assess damage before commencing repair work
• Remove, repair or replace damaged panels, frames and vehicle components
• Disassemble vehicles according to job sheets and repair requirements
• Reassemble vehicles after repairs are completed
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to shape, cut, straighten and repair metal panels
• Carry out welding, fabrication and structural repair work as required
• Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing, including filler application and sanding
• Ensure all repairs meet required quality, industry and safety standards
• Handle all vehicles with care and attention
• Maintain company tools and equipment in a safe, clean and workable condition
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Keep up to date with current vehicle repair techniques and industry practices
• Work effectively with workshop team members to meet repair schedules and quality requirements

• Qualified and experienced Panel Beater
• Relevant trade qualification or recognised industry experience
• Strong experience in smash repairs, vehicle body repairs and panel replacement
• Proficiency in metal shaping, welding and fabrication techniques
• Knowledge of rust treatment, frame alignment and structural repair principles
• Experience with body filler application, sanding and surface preparation
• Ability to safely disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently when required
• Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean work environment
