Practice Nurse

• Assist the practitioner as services are delivered
• Coordinate the treatment room, from ordering stock to sterilising and servicing equipment
• Educate patients about their care
• Apply infection control and WHS practices, and help the practice prepare for accreditation standards
• Lead other staff clinically, and manage patient triage
• Deliver wound care, dressings, childhood and adult immunisations and travel vaccinations
• Carry out corporate health checks, ECG, audiometry and spirometry
• Manage chronic disease, and complete age-appropriate and Indigenous health assessments
• Manage the cold chain and train staff

• Current AHPRA registration and the CPD points the role requires
• Basic Life Support / CPR certificate that is current (an equivalent is accepted)
• Working With Children Check
• Multi-tasking, problem solving and time management ability, and strong written and verbal communication
• Certified Immuniser status is looked upon favourably
