Registered Midwife

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Midwives to join a leading private maternity service in Tasmania. Permanent full-time, part-time and casual opportunities are available.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, woman-centred maternity environment providing high-quality care across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal journey. Midwives will be supported through clinical mentorship, education, professional development and opportunities to develop specialty practice.

• Provide safe, high-quality and evidence-based midwifery care to women and newborns
• Support women throughout antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care
• Provide compassionate, woman-centred care and support families throughout their maternity journey
• Monitor maternal and newborn wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition
• Work collaboratively with obstetricians, nurses, neonatal staff and other healthcare professionals
• Provide education and guidance to women and families on pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and newborn care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with relevant clinical standards and procedures
• Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative maternity care environment
• Participate in ongoing clinical education, professional development and specialty practice opportunities
• Support student and graduate midwives through mentorship, preceptorship and clinical guidance where required

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
• Relevant qualification in Midwifery
• Experience in birth suite, antenatal, postnatal or special care nursery will be highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based and woman-centred care
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
• Ability to work across permanent full-time, part-time or casual arrangements as required
