Key responsibilities
- Care for patients safely, compassionately and on the evidence in ED, acute and aged care settings, working with carers and the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate that care
- Take on Nurse in Charge responsibilities across ED (including triage), acute and aged care services
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote positive patient experiences
Requirements and eligibility
- Registered Nurse
- Current registration through AHPRA
- A clinician who is confident, capable and at home in a rural healthcare environment
- Independent when needed and collaborative within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience as, or readiness to be, Nurse in Charge across ED (including triage), acute and aged care
- Dedication to patient-centred care
- Strong communication, clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Immunisation and screening for certain diseases (Category A position)
