The Opportunity

A growing NZ roofing company is seeking motivated Roofing Installers to join its expanding team. Opportunities are available for candidates with varying levels of experience, from those looking to build on existing skills to experienced roofing professionals seeking long-term career growth.

The successful candidates will work on a variety of roofing projects while receiving ongoing training, support and opportunities for career progression. Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Install roofing materials on residential and commercial projects
Fix edge flashings, ridge flashings and associated roofing components
Measure, size and cut roofing materials to fit around vents, penetrations, corners and ridges
Install and secure waterproof sheeting over eaves and roof structures
Lay, nail and staple roofing underlay to roofing frameworks
Align and secure roofing sheets in accordance with project specifications
Install overlapping roof sheets and fastening systems
Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
Calculate and prepare required roofing materials
Identify workplace hazards and follow site safety procedures
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Requirements & Eligibility

Experience in roofing, roof plumbing or related construction work beneficial
Knowledge of roofing installation methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
Understanding of site safety procedures and hazard identification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Physically fit and capable of performing manual work at heights
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Reliable, punctual and motivated work ethic
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and develop roofing skills
