Senior Electrical Engineer

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in rolling stock systems, engineering design, modifications, and fleet overhauls. You will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams and specialist contractors to oversee complex engineering projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring all technical solutions comply with industry standards and operational requirements.

• Provide technical leadership for rolling stock electrical engineering projects
• Review engineering designs, modification packages and overhaul documentation
• Coordinate technical activities with internal engineering teams and external contractors
• Ensure electrical engineering requirements are incorporated throughout project delivery
• Conduct engineering analysis, inspections, testing and commissioning activities
• Support acceptance testing following modifications and fleet upgrades
• Investigate technical issues and develop practical engineering solutions
• Prepare scopes of work, engineering procedures, technical instructions and project documentation
• Monitor project performance relating to safety, quality, reliability and cost improvements
• Carry out quality audits to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, suppliers and engineering stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
• Provide technical guidance and communicate engineering information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across rolling stock maintenance and engineering programs

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Strong experience in rolling stock electrical engineering, including design, modifications, repairs and fleet overhauls
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects and technical investigations
• Ability to develop engineering scopes of work and technical documentation
• Experience performing testing, commissioning and engineering validation activities
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and project teams
• Current unrestricted driver's licence
