Senior Mechanical Services Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Mechanical Services Engineer to join a leading construction and infrastructure organisation delivering a landmark healthcare development in Queensland. This role is suited to a highly skilled professional with extensive experience managing mechanical services across large-scale construction projects. You will provide technical leadership throughout design, procurement, construction and commissioning while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. • Lead the delivery of mechanical services packages on major construction projects
• Coordinate mechanical design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities
• Manage project schedules, budgets and quality objectives
• Provide technical leadership and resolve engineering and site installation issues
• Ensure compliance with Australian building codes, industry standards and safety requirements
• Monitor project costs, forecasting and commercial performance
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultant relationships
• Conduct constructability reviews and identify opportunities for project improvements
• Support project planning, tender preparation and risk management activities
• Build strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders
• Lead and mentor engineering teams while promoting best practices
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery

• Mechanical trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in mechanical services engineering within the construction industry
• Previous experience in a senior mechanical services leadership position
• Experience delivering mechanical services on major construction projects valued above $500 million
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, procurement, construction and commissioning
• Sound understanding of Australian Building Codes and relevant industry standards
• Strong commercial and financial management experience
• Experience managing subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality and continuous improvement
