The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering innovative technology and digital solutions across complex land, infrastructure, and spatial projects.

This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software applications while supporting the organisation’s digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping software architecture, driving engineering excellence, integrating emerging technologies including AI, and mentoring development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and web-based solutions
Lead software architecture and technical design to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability
Deliver high-quality code using industry best practices and engineering standards
Establish and maintain development standards, testing frameworks, and documentation processes
Lead Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Monitor development performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment environments
Provide technical oversight and support for legacy systems while contributing to modernisation projects
Support ERP integration and digital transformation initiatives across the business
Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to improve products and operational processes
Mentor and support software engineers to enhance capability and performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external development partners
Contribute to technology strategy, innovation initiatives, and future product development
Work across a range of technologies including PHP, Laravel, VueJS, .NET, C#, SQL, and Git-based platforms

Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience
Strong experience in software architecture, system design, and full-stack development
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring software development teams
Experience working with modern development frameworks and cloud technologies
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment processes
Experience integrating AI technologies into software products or business processes
Experience supporting, maintaining, or transitioning legacy systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience working in Agile development environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines
