The Opportunity

A growing Australian technology company is seeking a qualified and motivated Software Engineer to join its expanding team in Queensland. This is a full-time opportunity to work on innovative software, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects across multiple industries.

The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and technology solutions that support both business operations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Research, analyse, and evaluate software requirements and technical specifications
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems
Write, modify, integrate, and debug software code
Develop and maintain web applications, APIs, and database solutions
Identify and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system problems
Collaborate with project teams, developers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and operational procedures
Participate in software testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities
Ensure software solutions meet security, reliability, and scalability standards

Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, PHP, or similar
Knowledge of software development frameworks, APIs, databases, and web technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and within collaborative environments

Desirable Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
