SMP Project & Shutdown Trades – Boilermakers, Pipe Fitters, Mechanical Fitters

A growing contractor supporting major mining, construction, shutdown and maintenance projects across Western Australia is seeking experienced trades professionals for current and upcoming project requirements.

Opportunities are available for Boilermakers, Pipe Fitters, Mechanical Fitters, Special Class Welders and SMP Supervisors. These roles offer exposure to a variety of FIFO construction, shutdown, maintenance and industrial projects across the resources and heavy industry sectors.

Candidates who are safety-focused, experienced in site-based environments and committed to delivering quality workmanship are encouraged to apply.

• Perform trade-related duties in mining, construction and industrial environments
• Complete fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair work to required standards
• Participate in shutdown, maintenance and construction projects
• Install and maintain process piping systems and associated equipment
• Carry out structural steel installation, repairs and modifications
• Perform mechanical equipment installation, maintenance and change-outs
• Complete coded and special class welding activities where applicable
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work packs
• Comply with all workplace safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and project teams
• Maintain productivity and workmanship standards across project activities

• Relevant Australian-recognised trade qualification relevant to the position applied for
• Proven experience in mining, resources, construction, heavy industry or industrial maintenance environments
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Reliable, professional and team-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in demanding site environments
• Current Australian working rights or eligibility to obtain employer sponsorship
• Ability to complete pre-employment medical assessments and drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to mobilise for project requirements within Western Australia
• Current Working at Heights certification is advantageous
• Current Confined Space certification is advantageous
• Relevant High Risk Work Licences are advantageous
• Previous client site inductions are advantageous
