Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, servicing and mechanical repairs across multiple passenger vehicle brands
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Use diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections, logbook servicing and roadworthy checks
  • Maintain accurate service, warranty and repair records
  • Communicate with service advisors and workshop staff regarding job progress and additional repairs
  • Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean and efficient work environment
  • Keep up to date with technical bulletins, manufacturer requirements and training
  • Assist apprentices and contribute to a supportive, team-focused workshop environment

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Valid Motor Mechanic Trade Licence
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant automotive workshop or dealership experience
  • Strong skills in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and manufacturer guidelines
  • Experience with warranty repairs is preferred
  • Confident using diagnostic scan tools and workshop software
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to high-quality workmanship
  • Valid Australian driver's licence, with manual licence preferred
  • Applicants must meet the requirements for Australian employment
