Telecommunications Field Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer to work on large-scale infrastructure projects involving RF integration, transmission systems, commissioning, and structural telecommunications works.

You will work alongside experienced technical teams delivering greenfield and brownfield telecommunications projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

• Deliver RF and transmission (Tx) integration, commissioning, testing, and carrier acceptance on telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Install, configure, and commission antennas, remote radio units (RRUs), feeders, microwave equipment, outdoor cabinets, and associated telecommunications hardware.
• Assist with structural tower upgrades, extensions, equipment installations, and other telecommunications infrastructure works alongside rigging teams.
• Prepare and complete carrier acceptance documentation and commissioning records to required industry standards.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements, including SWMS, permits, rescue plans, and site safety procedures.
• Carry out fault finding, testing, and technical troubleshooting during installation and commissioning activities.
• Travel to metropolitan and remote project locations across Australia as required.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and field crews to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer with strong RF and transmission (Tx) integration and commissioning knowledge.
• Experience preparing carrier acceptance documentation and completing site commissioning activities.
• Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification.
• Current Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and First Aid certifications.
• Experience working on telecommunications tower structures and structural steel upgrades.
• Ability to travel nationally, including remote project locations, and mobilise at short notice when required.
• Current Australian driver's licence or eligibility to obtain one; MR/HR licence or additional industry tickets will be advantageous.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and compliance with industry standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
