Thai Chef
The Opportunity
Our client, a well-regarded Thai restaurant in Hastings, New Zealand, is recruiting a Thai Chef on a permanent, full-time basis with a floor of 30 hours per week. On the sponsorship question, it is an Accredited Employer for the purposes of the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme.
What will this employer look for? Depth in authentic Thai cuisine first, then proof that you can hold quality steady across a full service. Candidates stand out when their application mirrors the duties listed below, so name the curries, soups and stir-fries you cook, say where you have looked after stock or portioning, and mention any junior cooks you have trained.
Tailor your CV to this kitchen instead of sending a general one, and keep your certificates close at hand. A quick way to do that is to tailor your cookery CV using Build AI CV.
