Underground Electrician

An established mining operation in Western Australia is seeking experienced Underground Electrical Trades professionals to join its permanent workforce. This is a long-term opportunity for qualified electricians looking to build a stable mining career with access to modern equipment, structured training and genuine progression opportunities.

The role is available on a residential basis in Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth, working either a 7/7 or 2/2 roster on 12-hour shifts.

• Perform underground electrical maintenance and repair activities
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across mining equipment and infrastructure
• Complete preventative and corrective electrical maintenance
• Maintain electrical systems to required safety and operational standards
• Work safely around underground mining equipment and electrical installations
• Carry out inspections, testing and fault finding
• Support the reliable operation of underground mining activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Follow site safety procedures, isolation requirements and electrical standards
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and mining teams
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development
• Operate and maintain modern underground mining electrical systems and equipment

• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
• Current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience, preferably within mining
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
• Underground mining experience highly regarded
• HV Switching ticket desirable
• Working at Heights certification desirable
• High Risk Work Licence desirable
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
