The Opportunity
An established New Zealand manufacturing company is seeking experienced Aluminium Fabricators to join its growing production team in Taranaki, New Zealand. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with overtime available when required.
The role involves manufacturing and assembling aluminium windows and doors for residential, multi-residential and light commercial projects. Employees work within established production systems, quality controls and workplace health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble aluminium window and door components
- Install glass and wedge units during the assembly process
- Measure and prepare components accurately
- Cut aluminium and timber using saws and production machinery
- Drill, punch and process components according to specifications
- Inspect completed products to maintain required quality standards
- Clean and prepare finished units for delivery
- Assist with delivery of completed products when required
- Maintain clean and organised work areas
- Maintain and care for production equipment and vehicles
- Follow established manufacturing and production procedures
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with the wider manufacturing team
- Complete assigned production tasks accurately and on time
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 12 months of experience in aluminium fabrication
- Practical experience using manufacturing tools, equipment and machinery
- Ability to safely operate relevant workshop equipment
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, drill and assemble components
- Understanding of production processes and quality requirements
- Ability to follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to lift items weighing over 20kg
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and learn new processes
- Able to work effectively in a busy team environment
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Friendly and professional approach to work
