Registered Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Qualified and Registered Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher – Infants to join a welcoming early learning team in New Zealand. This role is ideal for a heart-centred kaiako who is committed to providing high-quality care, learning, and meaningful experiences for infants.

You will play an important role in creating a safe, responsive, and engaging environment where tamariki can develop through strong relationships, intentional teaching, and respectful care. • Provide nurturing, responsive, and respectful care for infants
• Create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming learning environment
• Build strong and trusting relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Observe, assess, document, and reflect on children's learning and development
• Support infants' individual routines, interests, wellbeing, and learning needs
• Use intentional teaching strategies to encourage children's development
• Maintain accurate planning, assessment, and learning documentation
• Promote children's identities, languages, cultures, and sense of belonging
• Apply culturally responsive teaching practices in everyday interactions
• Demonstrate commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Work collaboratively with other educators and contribute positively to the teaching team
• Participate in centre routines, meetings, and daily operational responsibilities
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive workplace culture
• Engage in ongoing professional learning, reflection, and development
• Support the continuous improvement of teaching practices and centre programmes

• Recognised Early Childhood Education qualification
• Full and current New Zealand Teacher Practising Certificate
• Previous experience working with infants in an ECE environment
• Strong understanding of infant care, development, and learning
• Genuine passion for working with babies and young children
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, whanau, and colleagues
• Strong planning, assessment, and documentation skills
• Culturally responsive approach to teaching and learning
• Commitment to bicultural practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Well organised, adaptable, resilient, and reflective approach
• Ability to contribute confidently to daily centre operations
