Cafe Duty Manager

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cafe & Hospitality Team Member to join a welcoming hospitality environment in New Zealand. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, preparing food and beverages, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy cafe.

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Hospitality experience is preferred, while barista experience will be highly regarded.

• Operate the till and process customer transactions
• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages
• Heat and prepare food items according to requirements
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe
• Restock food, beverages and other products as required
• Pack coffee and other products for customers or distribution
• Assist with general cafe and hospitality operations
• Follow workplace health, safety and food hygiene procedures
• Support team members during busy service periods
• Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for customers

• Previous hospitality or cafe experience is preferred
• Barista experience and coffee preparation skills are highly advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
• Reliable, professional and positive attitude
• Good personal presentation and work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Must be available to work both weekend days, or at least Sundays
