The opportunity
This employer wants a Chef de Partie who can run a section to a high standard, take direction from the senior chefs and send out food that leaves guests impressed. The kitchen sits within a restored seaside precinct in the Melbourne area with several restaurants, bars, a beer garden and function and event spaces, so service is quick and varied.
To stand out, tailor your application to the duties. Show the sections you have led, give examples of menu or budget work in your specialty, and make your qualification status obvious, since the experience asked for differs for trade-qualified and non-qualified cooks. Candidates who show they want to learn will fit well, because the precinct offers ongoing training and progression across its venues. Sponsorship opportunities are available for approved applicants.
