Childcare Worker

Recruiting for 12 full-time Childcare Workers across two centres in Cairns, this employer wants educators who genuinely enjoy spending their days with children up to 6 years old. Shortlisted candidates will be studying towards or holding a Certificate III, or will hold a Diploma in Early Childhood.

The business is approved by the Government to sponsor qualified overseas workers, and the occupation is on the approved list, subject to visa conditions and type, a successful ACECQA skills assessment, English test scores and passing a trial period.

• Create a room that feels safe, fun, warm and welcoming
• Support a quality curriculum and implement it with the children
• Document learning in line with the EYLF, NQF and NQS
• Keep families informed, build rapport with parents and grow a strong home-school partnership
• Develop warm and respectful relationships with each child and family
• Build and maintain team relationships with fellow early childhood educators

• Studying towards or holding a Certificate III, or holding a Diploma in Early Childhood
• A love and passion for working with children aged 0-6 years, with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and an open-minded, innovative approach
• An excellent communicator in writing and in conversation
• Computer literate for electronic programming and portfolios
• Holds a current Queensland Blue Card
• Understands what the National Regulations and National Quality Standards require
• First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis and Asthma training if successful
