The opportunity

Here is what the hiring team behind this Maintenance Technician / Fitter role is after. A national horticultural business, vertically integrated and still growing, wants a practical mechanical fitter for its packing operation in the Bundaberg region of Queensland, and an agricultural recruiter is running the search.

They need someone trade-qualified who can find faults fast, repair packing line machinery and help cut breakdowns. You will sit in a small maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and flexibility matters: peak production can mean longer days and occasional Saturdays, and harvest brings some travel to support a sister packing facility in the Northern Territory. Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates.

To stand out, mirror the duties in your application. Show the packing or food processing lines you have worked on, the hydraulic and pneumatic faults you have solved and examples of your welding or fabrication.
