The Opportunity

Join a professional and established tree care team working across commercial, rural and residential projects throughout the Bay of Plenty. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Climbing Arborist looking for quality work, strong equipment support, ongoing training and the opportunity to relocate to New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out tree climbing and arboricultural operations safely and efficiently
  • Complete tree reductions, pruning and technical removals
  • Undertake large-scale commercial and residential tree care projects
  • Perform rigging, dismantling and controlled tree removals
  • Operate specialist arboricultural equipment and machinery
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship across all projects
  • Assess work areas and follow established safety procedures
  • Protect and retain trees and vegetation wherever practical
  • Work collaboratively with ground crew and other team members
  • Participate in regular training and professional development
  • Complete emergency callout work when required
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to a high standard

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Level 3 or Level 4 Arboriculture qualification, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience as a Climbing Arborist
  • Strong climbing, rigging and tree removal experience
  • Ability to independently manage climbing operations on a job
  • Class 1 New Zealand or equivalent overseas driver's licence essential
  • Class 2 or Heavy Transport licence advantageous
  • Strong understanding of arboricultural safety practices
  • Reliable, honest and hardworking attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a professional team
  • Willingness to complete further training where required
