Crusher Fitter / Boilermaker

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Crusher Fitter / Boilermaker to join an established Australian mining and equipment services operation in [State]. The role involves servicing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting a range of mobile and stationary crushing, screening and processing equipment.

This position offers a varied combination of workshop, local and regional site-based work, providing exposure to different equipment and operating environments. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational for customers across the industry.

• Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs and pre-delivery inspections on mobile and stationary equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems in accordance with OEM standards
• Diagnose faults using technical information, manuals, procedures and hydraulic testing equipment
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation
• Test hydraulic pressures and flows to identify and resolve equipment faults
• Diagnose and perform basic repairs to 12V and 24V electrical control systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and conduct voltage and continuity testing
• Provide technical service and customer support at metropolitan and regional sites
• Travel to remote and regional locations as required to support customer operations
• Inspect equipment and identify maintenance and remedial repair requirements
• Prepare technical reports detailing equipment condition and recommended repairs
• Maintain accurate technical records, photographs, settings, checks and other required documentation
• Complete all work in accordance with relevant OEM standards, safety requirements and procedures
• Build positive customer relationships through reliable and professional service

• Relevant recognised trade qualification as a Fitter, Boilermaker or related mechanical trade
• Minimum 2 years of post-trade experience
• Previous experience working with quarry or mining fixed plant is highly desirable
• Experience servicing mobile and stationary crushing, screening or processing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of 12V and 24V electrical control systems
• Full unrestricted Australian C Class Driver Licence
• HR and forklift licences are desirable
• Physically capable of performing manual and site-based tasks
• Willingness to travel to regional and remote work locations when required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
• Proactive, self-motivated and safety-conscious approach to work
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices and procedures
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
