Diesel Technician

We are seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Technician to join a modern workshop servicing a wide range of heavy vehicles and commercial trucks. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified diesel mechanic looking to work with premium truck brands while developing their technical expertise in a supportive and professional environment.

You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on heavy vehicles, ensuring customers receive reliable and efficient maintenance solutions.

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Perform engine, transmission, air system, chassis, and drivetrain repairs
• Conduct pre-inspection and roadworthiness checks
• Recondition, overhaul, assemble, and rebuild diesel engines
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults
• Complete repairs to manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Work independently and collaboratively with workshop staff
• Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent recognised qualification
• Strong experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles
• Excellent mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Experience working on a variety of truck makes and models
• Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and repair systems
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Current heavy vehicle driver's licence is advantageous or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently
