Earthmoving & Farm Machinery Operator

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Machinery Operator to join a progressive, large-scale dairy farming operation in Victoria. This is a full-time, year-round position offering long-term career stability and the opportunity to work with a modern fleet of agricultural machinery in a well-equipped farming environment.

The successful candidate will primarily operate excavators throughout the year, with additional tractor work during seasonal farming operations. The farm maintains its own equipment on-site, providing opportunities to expand your skills in machinery maintenance, repairs, and fabrication.

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently as the primary responsibility
• Perform seasonal tractor operations during autumn and spring
• Operate a range of modern agricultural machinery and equipment as required
• Assist with land preparation, harvesting, and general farm machinery operations
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements
• Support machinery maintenance, repairs, and basic fabrication work when required
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with the farm team to achieve operational goals
• Maintain equipment in clean and serviceable condition
• Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the farming enterprise

• Previous experience operating excavators and agricultural machinery
• Experience operating tractors in a farming environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
• Commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
• Willingness to learn new skills in equipment maintenance and fabrication
• Current driver's licence or ability to obtain one
