Registered/Enrolled nurse

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered or Enrolled Nurses to join a specialist residential brain injury care service in Canterbury, New Zealand. This full-time position offers rotating AM, PM, and night shifts across a 7-day roster, providing high-quality clinical care and support to residents in a rehabilitation and long-term care setting.

You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering person-centred nursing care while supporting residents to achieve greater independence, inclusion, and quality of life. This role also offers opportunities for leadership development, ongoing professional education, and career progression.

• Provide high-quality clinical nursing care to residents in a specialist residential setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans
• Support residents with complex rehabilitation and long-term care needs
• Monitor residents' health and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition
• Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to Enrolled Nurses and Support Workers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve positive client outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care records
• Participate in medication management and clinical assessments
• Lead and support nursing operations during rostered shifts, including night shifts
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centred care environment
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and best practice guidelines
• Participate in ongoing education, professional development, and quality improvement activities

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain registration)
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Experience in rehabilitation, residential care, disability support, or complex care is advantageous
• Full, clean driver's licence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Confidence leading shifts and working in a sole-charge environment when required
• Good computer and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work rotating AM, PM, and night shifts across a 7-day roster
• Commitment to delivering person-centred, high-quality care
