Key Responsibilities
- Assess nursing needs in line with accepted nursing practice and standards
- Plan and implement nursing care, then evaluate how well it worked
- Consult with other health professionals about each patient
- Coordinate patient care as part of a healthcare team
- Provide the medications, therapies and treatments described in care plans and monitor them
- Head up health promotion activities and take part in patient education
- Supervise Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers and coordinate their work
- Maintain healthcare records and documentation that are accurate
- Meet current clinical standards in community nursing, hospitals, home care and aged care, comply with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report hazards and incidents promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration (current) and a relevant nursing qualification for a Registered Nurse
- Home care and community nursing experience
- At a minimum, one year's full-time relevant experience
- A current National Criminal History Check, a current Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- A current Manual Handling Certificate and an Infection Control certificate
- A valid driver's licence
- Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations
