Support Worker / Life Facilitator
The Opportunity
This Tauranga disability support service is recruiting a Support Worker / Life Facilitator on a full-time contract, and the brief is clear: a person who slots into a 24/7 team and helps a motivated client living with tetraplegia keep an active, engaged life with full-time commitments. Expect personal cares, daily activities and companionship, plus driving and accompanying the client to work and family commitments, with some travel.
Rostered days run 7 am to 5 pm and nights 5 pm to 7 am, including a sleepover, for about 35 hours or more a week over roughly 2 to 4 shifts and 2 weekend shifts a month. Training comes from the client and the team, and the employer is accredited with job tokens to support AEWV work visa sponsorship.
To stand out, mirror the listed duties: name the care plans you have followed, the rosters you have helped run and the times you adapted when needs shifted.
