Agricultural Machinery Operator

A well-established agricultural services company is seeking experienced Agricultural Machinery Operators to join its team supporting silage harvesting, baling, cultivation, and planting operations across New Zealand.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced seasonal environment and confidently operate heavy agricultural machinery. Both full-time and seasonal positions are available, with sponsorship opportunities for suitable overseas applicants.

• Operate and maintain agricultural machinery safely and efficiently
• Work with forage harvesters, tractors, loaders, balers, mowers, rakes, cultivation and drilling equipment, and trucks
• Perform daily machine checks, servicing, and basic repairs
• Diagnose and report mechanical issues promptly
• Assist with harvesting, cultivation, and planting operations
• Maintain accurate maintenance and job records
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, during peak seasonal periods
• Collaborate positively within a team environment

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy agricultural machinery
• Good mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge
• Ability to work long hours during seasonal peak periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full driver licence required
• Heavy Traffic licence is advantageous
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing
• Must be able to provide employment references and work history
• Overseas applicants must meet New Zealand work visa requirements
