CNC Press Brake / Turret Operator

We are seeking an experienced Press Shop Team Member to join a leading manufacturer in New Zealand. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for someone with Press Brake and/or Turret experience who is interested in working with modern CNC sheet-metal equipment.

The role involves setting up and operating Press Brake or Turret machinery to form, bend and straighten sheet-metal components according to work orders and quality requirements. The position is based on a night shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly pay, a night-shift allowance and opportunities for overtime.

• Set up and operate Press Brake and/or Turret CNC machinery
• Form, bend and straighten sheet-metal materials according to specifications
• Read and follow work orders, drawings and production requirements
• Ensure finished products meet required quality standards
• Maintain required production quantities and delivery schedules
• Carry out machine adjustments and basic operational checks
• Maximise machine productivity while maintaining safe working practices
• Inspect completed components for accuracy and quality
• Work effectively with team members and internal customers
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area
• Work Monday to Friday on the designated night shift
• Undertake overtime when required

• Previous experience working with Press Brake and/or Turret machinery
• Sheet-metal manufacturing or fabrication experience
• Experience operating or setting up CNC equipment
• Ability to read and understand work orders, drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of quality control and production requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to work permanent night shifts
