The Opportunity

Experienced Class 5 Truck Drivers are sought for civil and heavy transport work in New Zealand. The role involves transporting machinery, aggregate and chip seal between earthworks, roading sites and quarries. Day shifts are available Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport aggregate and chip seal to civil and roading sites
  • Transport heavy machinery between worksites
  • Drive truck and trailer or articulated units
  • Operate road ranger or automatic transmission vehicles
  • Tip, spread and jack-knife loads where required
  • Operate excavators, loaders, rollers and other equipment
  • Self-load and manage loading activities safely
  • Assist with on-site civil work when required
  • Maintain safe and efficient driving practices
  • Follow site, transport and health and safety requirements

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Class 5 Full Driver Licence
  • WTR Endorsement
  • Proven truck and trailer or articulated driving experience
  • Experience with road ranger or automatic transmission
  • Experience transporting aggregate and chip seal
  • Experience transporting heavy machinery
  • Tip, spread and jack-knife experience preferred
  • Experience operating civil equipment such as excavators, loaders or rollers preferred
  • Willingness to assist with ground work when required
  • Relevant civil or heavy transport experience
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
