Electrician

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial Electrician to join a leading electrical services company in Otago, New Zealand. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a variety of commercial electrical and infrastructure projects within a supportive and high-performing team.

You will work across commercial installations, infrastructure projects and maintenance activities while contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality electrical services. • Carry out commercial electrical installation, maintenance and repair work
• Work on a variety of commercial and infrastructure projects
• Support streetlighting and related electrical services when required
• Read and interpret electrical plans and technical drawings
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with electrical standards and regulations
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety
• Work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients
• Complete job documentation and reports accurately
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition
• Deliver high-quality workmanship across all assigned projects

• Current Electrical Registration and Practising Licence recognised in New Zealand or eligibility to obtain registration
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in commercial electrical work
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience working on commercial construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and safety practices
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small, high-performing team
• Current driver's licence
