Heavy Vehicle Technician

• Carry out general servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance on heavy trucks and commercial vehicles
• Perform advanced fault finding and diagnostic work using modern equipment and technology
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer and industry standards
• Inspect, test, and identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and ensure all repairs are completed safely
• Work collaboratively with technicians, service advisors, and parts department teams
• Provide professional support and communication when dealing with customers
• Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Stay updated with evolving vehicle technology through ongoing training
• Support efficient workshop operations and achieve service targets

• Relevant automotive qualification, preferably as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Proven experience in heavy vehicle or truck mechanical repairs
• Experience with franchise truck dealerships is preferred but not essential
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues
• Commitment to quality workmanship, accuracy, and efficiency
• Genuine passion for the truck and heavy vehicle industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
• Truck licence or forklift licence is advantageous
