You will work as part of a collaborative digital services team supporting important technology initiatives that help improve the delivery of healthcare services. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to technical projects, implement new solutions and support continuous improvement while developing your skills in a modern hybrid-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide frontline technical support for Hybrid Multi-Cloud systems and services
Troubleshoot technical issues and work towards timely resolution
Perform routine system maintenance and operational support activities
Monitor system performance and assist with maintaining system stability
Use service management systems to record, manage and resolve incidents and requests
Assist senior technical team members with complex technical issues
Support the implementation and deployment of new technology solutions
Contribute to technical planning, project activities and system deployments
Apply established technical procedures, standards and operational practices
Escalate technical issues appropriately when required
Work collaboratively with internal teams, technical specialists and external vendors
Support national, regional and local digital technology initiatives
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve operational efficiency
Contribute to continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies
Maintain appropriate standards for security, compliance, risk management and technical documentation
Participate in an on-call roster to provide support for critical system issues
Promote a safe, inclusive, collaborative and innovative working environment

Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum 2 years of experience working as an ICT or Technology Technician
Practical experience supporting IT services and routine technology operations
Experience with service management systems such as ServiceNow
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience or exposure to technical solution implementation and deployment activities
Ability to assist with technical planning and project-related activities
Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline
NZQA-accredited qualification and/or recognised IT certifications such as ITIL or Service Management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively with technical teams, stakeholders and external service providers
Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical capabilities
Proactive approach to resolving technical issues and improving services
Ability to work under general direction while using sound judgement when handling technical issues
Commitment to professional integrity, safety, compliance and ethical practices
Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call roster
