The Opportunity

A leading automotive company in New Zealand is seeking an organised and detail-focused Parts Coordinator to support its busy workshop and vehicle operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in automotive parts, purchasing, stock control, or dealership service coordination.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring parts availability, maintaining accurate inventory records, managing supplier orders, and supporting workshop efficiency. Visa sponsorship is available for the right overseas candidate with suitable skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders and process requests according to workshop requirements
  • Order automotive parts and consumables to support daily workshop operations
  • Check deliveries against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
  • Manage returns, cancellations, credits, and supplier follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and stock movements
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate reorder points
  • Complete stock checks and investigate inventory differences
  • Manage workshop tools register and conduct regular tool audits
  • Verify incoming goods against delivery documentation
  • Support workplace health and safety procedures related to parts handling and storage
  • Provide general administrative and workshop support when required
  • Coordinate with workshop teams to ensure parts are available when needed

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Experience in automotive parts, purchasing, inventory control, or stock coordination
  • Previous dealership, workshop, or service advisor experience is highly valued
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communication skills and a positive attitude towards change
  • Experience with data entry, reconciliation, and stock management systems
  • Ability to work effectively with mechanics, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to relocate and work in New Zealand
