Sheetmetal Tradesperson/CNC Operator

An established sheet metal engineering business is seeking experienced CNC Operators to join its production team in Auckland, New Zealand. This is an opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing environment using advanced CNC machinery and contribute to a workplace focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

• Operate CNC machinery including punch, laser, tube laser and press brake equipment
• Set up and operate machinery accurately according to production requirements
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and production instructions
• Inspect finished components to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a strong focus on getting the job right the first time
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Keep machinery and production areas clean, organised and safe
• Work effectively as part of the wider production team
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and production processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment

• Minimum 2 years of CNC operation experience
• Experience with punch, laser, tube laser cutting or press brake machinery
• Trumpf experience is highly desirable
• Candidates with 2+ years of relevant sheet metal trades experience may also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work safely and productively within a production environment
• Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
• Ability to work fixed shifts, including day, night or graveyard shifts
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
