Rope Access Technician

An established specialist services company is seeking experienced Rope Access Technicians to join its team in New Zealand. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a minimum of 40 guaranteed hours per week.

The role involves varied specialist work at height across commercial buildings, industrial facilities and infrastructure. Projects may include façade inspections, bridge surveys, industrial maintenance, waterproofing, remedial works and height-safety system installations.

• Perform rope access inspection, maintenance and repair work
• Conduct building and façade inspections
• Carry out bridge and infrastructure inspection work
• Undertake industrial inspection and maintenance activities
• Complete waterproofing and remedial works
• Install and maintain height-safety systems
• Rig, inspect and safely use rope access and safety equipment
• Perform specialist work in elevated and difficult-to-access areas
• Complete site documentation, photographs and work records
• Follow applicable rope access standards and workplace procedures
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and accountability
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members and clients
• Travel within New Zealand when required for project requirements
• Complete occasional overnight travel, with accommodation and applicable allowances provided

• Current and valid IRATA Rope Access qualification
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable practical rope access experience
• Evidence of relevant rope access qualifications and practical work experience
• New Zealand Certificate in Industrial Rope Access (Level 4) will also be considered
• Ability to work safely at height and in challenging access environments
• Strong practical problem-solving skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• A current driver's licence is advantageous but not essential
• Professional-level English communication skills are advantageous but not essential
• Relevant trade qualifications or trade experience are advantageous
• Additional construction, inspection, industrial or height-safety training is advantageous
• Willingness to travel within New Zealand when required
