The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Plumber to join a growing heating and air conditioning business in New Zealand. This role offers the chance to work on premium residential and commercial projects, including advanced heating systems, hydronic solutions and quality plumbing installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install hot and cold water supply systems, sanitary plumbing systems and associated fixtures
  • Install plumbing pipework using approved materials, fittings and industry standards
  • Install valves, pumps, pressure control equipment and plumbing components
  • Install and maintain hydronic heating systems, underfloor heating pipework and heating components
  • Install, commission and replace hot water cylinders and heat pump water heaters
  • Support HVAC installation teams with residential and commercial heating system projects
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and project specifications
  • Measure, cut, assemble and secure pipework using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Carry out pressure testing, commissioning and system checks
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and complete maintenance and repair work
  • Perform planned and reactive plumbing services across residential and commercial sites
  • Maintain safe, clean and organised work areas, vehicles and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality workmanship

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Relevant plumbing qualification with New Zealand registration or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Minimum three years of plumbing experience or equivalent trade experience
  • Experience in residential and commercial plumbing installations and maintenance
  • Knowledge or experience with hydronic heating systems, underfloor heating and hot water systems is highly regarded
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Valid driver licence or ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to relocate and work in New Zealand
