Registered Nurses (Emergency & Aged Care)

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join a well-established aged care provider in Waikato, New Zealand. Multiple full-time, part-time, and casual opportunities are available. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside healthcare professionals to provide exceptional nursing care, develop personalised care plans, and support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity.

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with professional standards
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing resident evaluations
• Complete and maintain InterRAI assessments within required timeframes
• Develop, implement, review, and update individualised care plans
• Collaborate with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer medications safely and oversee medication management processes
• Monitor residents' health conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records
• Provide clinical leadership and supervise care delivered by care staff
• Support new resident admissions and complete all required documentation
• Communicate effectively with medical practitioners, residents, and family members
• Participate in GP rounds and implement treatment recommendations
• Promote resident safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
• Attend staff meetings, education sessions, and ongoing professional development
• Support and mentor new and existing staff members
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of clinical equipment and supplies
• Follow infection prevention, health and safety, and organisational policies
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and clinical incidents
• Deliver care in accordance with ethical, cultural, legal, and professional nursing standards

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or eligibility to obtain New Zealand registration
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Previous aged care or residential care experience is highly desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer literacy and clinical documentation skills
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexible and reliable with a positive, professional attitude
• Passion for delivering person-centred aged care
• Understanding of medication management and clinical governance principles
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
