This opportunity is suited to roofers with either developing or extensive experience, as well as construction workers who have transferable skills and are looking to specialise in roofing. You’ll work with experienced professionals, develop your technical capabilities and gain exposure to modern roofing and cladding systems.

• Installing and securing roofing materials on commercial construction projects
• Fixing edge, ridge and other roof flashings
• Measuring, sizing and cutting roofing materials to suit vents, penetrations, corners and ridges
• Installing waterproof sheets and protective materials around roof eaves
• Nailing and stapling roofing underlay securely to roof structures
• Aligning and securing starter roofing sheets along roof edges
• Installing successive roofing sheets with correct overlaps and fastening methods
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and project specifications
• Assessing work sites and determining the materials and equipment required
• Working with modern roofing, cladding and associated building systems
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and project quality
• Following site safety procedures and identifying potential workplace hazards
• Working effectively as part of a team on large-scale construction projects
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organised condition
• Travelling to project sites when required

• Previous roofing experience is advantageous
• Experienced Roofers are encouraged to apply for overseas sponsorship opportunities
• Construction-related experience with transferable practical skills may be considered
• Knowledge of commercial roofing or cladding systems is an advantage
• Ability to measure, cut and install roofing materials accurately
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Physically capable of performing roofing and construction duties
• Reliable, committed and willing to learn and develop new skills
