Senior Gardener

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Garden Team Leader who enjoys working outdoors, leading a small team, and maintaining exceptional gardens throughout the changing seasons.

You will manage your own work vehicle and supervise a small gardening team while ensuring every property is maintained to the highest standard. The company provides scheduling and operational support, allowing you to focus on delivering quality results and leading your team effectively.

• Lead and supervise a small team of gardeners on daily maintenance tasks
• Maintain premium residential and commercial gardens to a high standard
• Plan and carry out seasonal garden care and maintenance activities
• Operate ride-on mowers and a range of powered gardening equipment safely
• Prune, trim, plant, weed, mulch and maintain healthy gardens
• Identify garden maintenance requirements and take proactive action
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to company quality standards
• Train, mentor and support junior team members
• Complete daily job reports and basic mobile app documentation
• Maintain work vehicles, tools and equipment in good condition
• Provide professional customer service while representing the company
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

• Minimum 2 years of commercial gardening or landscape maintenance experience
• Experience operating ride-on mowers
• Competent in using powered gardening equipment and hand tools
• Ability to identify seasonal garden care requirements
• Previous experience leading or supervising a small team is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, reporting and basic administration
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, self-motivated and committed to producing high-quality work
• Valid driver's licence is preferred
