Senior Hairdressers

An established and growing hair and beauty business in New Zealand is seeking 2 experienced Senior Hairdressers to join its professional and welcoming team.

This is a full-time opportunity offering a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week per position, with visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates through an accredited employer.

The role is suited to confident senior stylists who can independently deliver a broad range of cutting, colouring and styling services while providing an exceptional client experience. Opportunities may also be available to support junior staff through mentoring, demonstrations and practical training.

• Provide ladies’ and children’s haircuts
• Perform blow waves and professional styling services
• Carry out global and regrowth colouring
• Perform foils, highlights and balayage services
• Complete toning and colour correction services
• Deliver hair treatments and smoothing services
• Conduct professional client consultations
• Recommend suitable haircare products and services
• Maintain high standards of client care and customer service
• Work independently while maintaining salon standards
• Assist with mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Participate in demonstrations, workshops and practical training sessions when required
• Maintain a clean, professional and welcoming salon environment
• Follow workplace health, safety and hygiene standards

• Recognised hairdressing qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
• Minimum 2 years of professional hairdressing experience
• Strong skills in cutting, colouring, foiling and styling
• Confident working independently
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, professional and well presented
• Available to work weekends as required
• Beauty therapy skills or relevant experience are advantageous
• Ability to provide details of hair services performed confidently
• Ability to identify any hair services where further training may be required
• Previous mentoring, training or workshop experience is advantageous
• Willingness to meet New Zealand work visa and sponsorship requirements
