Small Engine Mechanic

An established Australian business is seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join its workshop team in Queensland. This full-time role involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, brushcutters, trimmers and blowers.

• Service and repair outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, brushcutters and blowers
• Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions and mechanical components
• Inspect, dismantle and assess engines and equipment for repair requirements
• Repair and replace worn, damaged or defective parts
• Reassemble mechanical components and ensure equipment operates correctly
• Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups
• Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Refer to service manuals and technical documentation when required
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
• Provide high-quality workmanship and customer service

• Relevant trade qualification in Small Engine Mechanics, Mechanical Technology or a related field
• Experience servicing and repairing outdoor power equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to dismantle, repair and reassemble engines and mechanical systems
• Good understanding of engine maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in mechanical systems and engine technology
