Truck driver

A great opportunity is available for a reliable and professional Truck Driver to join an established transport and distribution operation in New Zealand.

This permanent full-time position is suitable for a driver holding either a New Zealand Class 2 or Class 5 licence, depending on the role. The position involves a combination of driving, loading and unloading, vehicle preparation and general transport duties.

Drivers may be engaged in either local delivery work across the Auckland region or line-haul operations between company sites, customers and distribution centres. Both roles return to Auckland each day, with no overnight stays required.

• Operate Class 2 vehicles for local deliveries across the Auckland region
• Operate Class 5 heavy combination vehicles for line-haul transport
• Transport goods safely between company sites, customers, distribution centres and designated locations
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally
• Load and unload trucks safely and securely
• Assist with preparing vehicles and freight for delivery
• Carry out manual transport-related tasks as required
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain safe operating standards
• Follow all company health and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate delivery and transport documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members and management
• Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
• Maintain a clean and professional driving record
• Be flexible with working hours, including early starts, late shifts and night work

• Current and clean New Zealand Class 2 or Class 5 driver's licence, depending on the position
• Ability to safely operate heavy vehicles and truck-and-trailer combinations
• For line-haul work, ability to operate heavy combination vehicles
• For local delivery work, a valid Class 2 licence
• Previous truck driving experience is advantageous but not essential for suitable candidates who can demonstrate the required driving ability
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
• Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday, depending on the roster
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including night work
